Madhya Pradesh: 3 units to invest Rs 140 cr in SEZ

Indore, Apr 5: City-based Special Economic Zone (SEZ) approval committee has given clearance to three proposals for investment of Rs 140 crore and these units were expected to export goods worth Rs 900 crores in next five years. SEZ Development Commissioner S K Bansal said that the biggest proposal worth Rs 59.97 crore was submitted by tablet, capsule and dry syrup bottles manufacturing company Messers Mission Vivacare Limited. The proposal moved by Messers Innovative Clad Solutions Private Limited worth Rs 36.66 cr while Messers Tirupati Balaji Agro Trading Company Private Limited submitted its proposal worth Rs 8.26 crore.

''Indore SEZ had so far granted permission to set up 60 establishment. Of them 11 units started production while 9 units were under construction,'' he said. Dr Bansal said there was a proposal for setting up Malwa IT SEZ in the city's Khajarana area. A report has been sent to the centre after identifying land on Agra-Mumbai bypass. ''Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation has received a proposal to set up mineral and mineral based SEZ in Jabalpur,'' he added.
