Seven Maoist ultras arrested, arms and ammunition seized

Krishnagar, Apr 4 (UNI) Police today arrested seven Maoist ultras, including a woman, from the Kotwali police station area in the district and seized huge cache of arms and ammunition from their possession.

Nadia Superintendent of Police H K Kusumkar said another seven suspected Maoist cadres were also detained from the area.

Two rifles, one mascot, 26 revolvers, one stengun and 74 rounds of live ammunition were recovered from the militants' possession.

The SP said the cadres, all residents of Kolkata, Jadavpur and Malda, were apprehended from Bhatchangla, Poragacha and Hanskhali villages under Kotwali police station.
