Rubber Board to set up 25 dehumidify godowns

Kozhikode, Apr 4 (UNI) The Rubber Board (RB) will set up 25 dehumidify godowns in the country for storing rubber, RB Chairman Sajen Peter said today.

Inaugurating a seminar here, he said while three such godowns would come up in Kerala, one would be in Tripura.

The Board would fund Rs 40 lakh for the constructon of godown with a capacity of 100 metric tonne, he said.

Kerala, the largest producer of rubber in the country, would have the maximum number of the proposed godowns, he said adding the government had allocated huge fund for the development of rubber plantation in the country during the 11th plan period.
