Rosaiah 'distorted' statements made by Naidu: TDP
Hyderabad, Apr 4 (UNI) The TDP today alleged that Finance Minister K Rosaiah 'distorted' the statements made by TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu on Deputy Speaker G Kutuhallama in the House on April 2.
Addressing a press conference here, TDP senior leader and former minister T Devendar Goud alleged that the Congress MLAs were playing 'cheap' tricks to gain political mileage out of the issue.
''The TDP Chief did not use any discourteous words against Ms Kutuhallamma as propagated by the Congress,'' he said.
The TDP SC Cell Leaders submitted a memorandum to Assembly Special Secretary Gopalakrishna, urging him to permit the police to register a criminal case against the Finance Minister under the SC, ST Atrocities Act.
Meanwhile, to protest against the TDP President's alleged remarks against the Deputy Speaker, the Youth Congress leaders and Dalit activists staged a dharna before the TDP state office, demanding an unconditional apology from Mr Naidu.
Later, the agitators were arrested by the police.
