Patan Gang Rape report to be submitted next week

Patan, Apr 4 (UNI) The Magisterial inquiry report into the infamous Patan gang rape case, involving six teachers, who were arrested in February for allegedly raping a student of Primary Teachers Training College here, is said to be ready and is likely to be submitted next week to the Gujarat Government.

The report, based on testimonials of more than 200 people, comprises of around 1000 pages, of which 350 pages contain findings of the inquiry.

The report may contain some sharp indictments and appalling revelations, according to sources close to the district collectorate. The authorities are tightlipped about the content and refused to divulge any information regarding the findings.

Chief minister Narendra Modi had ordered a magisterial inquiry into the Patan gang rape case, which came to light on February 1 and sent shock waves across the country.
