Past winners of reality shows to defend title on Star Plus
Mumbai, Apr 4 (UNI) Television channel Star Plus will launch a reality show ''Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar'' that will pit past six winners of various singing contests against twelve challengers who had to settle for the second spot.
''The show will be the 'battle of the best'. Our research had revealed that a large portion of our audience missed the runners-up and shooting stars who unfortunately didn't win the top spot,'' said Keertan Adyanthaya, VP&EVP Star India.
Tailored for Indian audiences, the show will be hosted by Mandira Bedi and will have the Challengers battle each other for a place to join and pit their lung powers with the Champions.
To maintain impartiality, the show has given additional ''weightage judges decision'' which will carry 50 percent of the voting power to negate partisan voting from audiences.
On the judges seat will be Bollywood's well known choreogragher and director Farah Khan along with music director duo of Vishal-Shekhar.
''Imagine a boxing title fight where the champion fighter has to defend his belt. I've almost neglected my own babies to work on this show,'' said the witty Farah Khan.
The show will begin from April 11 and will be telecast on every Friday and Saturday.
