Matthew McConaughey in talks for 'Magnum P.I.' flick

Washington, April 4 : Hollywood hunk Matthew McConaughey is reportedly in talks to play the lead in a movie based on the television series 'Magnum P.I.'.

He is said to be the producers' favourite to play Magnum's role on the silver screen, reports Contactmusic.

The island detective was originally portrayed by Tom Selleck in the television franchise.

According to Entertainment Weekly magazine, McConaughey is presently reading the script of the film.
