Major fire at BEIL waste site

Ahmedabad, Apr 3 (UNI) A major fire broke out at the waste disposal site of BEIL, located at the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) at Ankleshwar in Bharuch district today, prompting authorities to order the evacuation of three villages.

The people of three villages, Sarangpur, Dadhal and Jipali, have been asked to vacate their houses and move to safer places with their families and valueables.

The reason for the fire was not yet known and a massive operation has been launched to douse it.
