Heavy rains lash Gujarat

Ahmedabad, Apr 4 (UNI) Heavy rains, accompanied by thunder and lightning, lashed the city and many parts of the state, including Gandhinagar, Saurashtra and North Gujarat.

Clouds began to amass well past noon over many parts of the state and it started raining at around 1500 hrs. Because of the stormy weather and rains, trees fell in many areas, disrupting the traffic.

According to the agriculture experts, because of the unseasonal rains seasonal crops will be hit badly as they are almost ready to be harvested.
