Smoke causes panic aboard Kingfisher Airlines flight
Hyderabad, Apr 3 (UNI) Much to the relief of the passengers on board, a pilot of the Kingfisher Airlines, IT-801, from Hyderabad to Delhi landed the aircraft safely after noticing smoke emanating from it, at the Rajiv Gandhi International airport here today.
The flight took off at 0625 hrs with 90 passengers and seven crew-members on board. After the take off, the pilot alerted Air Traffic Control (ATC) saying that he received an indication of smoke from the cargo hold of the aircraft.
During a search there, an unidentified substance was located.
The aircraft landed normally and taxied to the standard parking position where the passengers disembarked, the release added.
