M'lore-Udupi private buses embark on flash strike
Mangalore, Apr 3 (UNI) Commuters, mainly office-goers and students, were put to hardships today following a flash stike by private express buses, plying between Mangalore and Udupi, after alleged assault of a bus staff at a bus stop in the city last evening.
The strike evoked good response with all the private express buses plying between the two cities remaining off the road.
Many passengers to Udupi were stranded here, while most of the office goers cancelled their journey as others found alternatives to reach their destination.
A time keeper at a bus stop in the city allegedly had an altercation with a private express bus driver and assaulted him last evening. All the private express buses to Udupi abruptly stopped service following the incident.
