District level special BTC merit list right: HC
Allahabad, Apr 3 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court today ruled that the merit list prepared by the Uttar Pradesh government at district level for the Special BTC training course is right and has no illegality.
The order was passed by a division bench comprising Justices H L Gokhle and Vinit Saran.
The bench allowed the special appeal filed by the UP government against the single bench order, whereby, it directed that the state government prepare a merit list for the special BTC training course by adding the average marks of practical and theory.
The single bench had also ordered that the merit list be prepared at district level and not at the state level, as demanded by the petitioner.
Two Special appeals had been filed against the single bench order in the HC. One appeal was filed by the state government, while other by the candidates.
