30 kg ganja worth Rs 1.5 lakh recovered from Coochbehar

Coochbehar, Apr 03 (UNI) West Bengal Excise department officials today recovered 30 kg ganja worth Rs 1.5 lakh from the Dewanhat area on the Coochbehar-Dinhata route.

Coochbehar Deputy Excise Collector Tendup Bhutia said the ganja was recovered from parcels being despatched from three post offices under Dinhata police station in the district, adding that an investigation was started in the matter.

However, Coochbehar circle Superintendent of Post Niladri Saha refused to comment on the matter and said the Excise department would be conducting the entire investigation.
