1104 special schools for child labours
Patna, Apr 3 (UNI) The Bihar government today said that 1104 special schools for child labourers were being run in 17 districts of the state under national child labour scheme.
Replying to a starred question of BJP member Kiran Ghai Sinha in the state legislative council, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said such schools were being opened in seven more selected districts. He said the Centre had been requested to cover the rest of the of the districts.
The minister admitted that some schools were devoid of playground and other infrastructure but added that as per the Centres directive such schools had to be run in the rented buildings.
The functionings of these schools were being monitored at dictrict level.
