UP plagued by corruption: Mata Prasad
Jaunpur, Apr 2 (UNI) Denouncing the Mayawati led-Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) government in Uttar Pradesh, senior Congress leader and former Arunachal Pradesh governor Mata Prasad today said the rule of law has ended in the state, which is presently being plagued by corruption.
''All the vows of Chief Minister Mayawati have fallen like a pack of cards...the BSP government has utterly failed to uproot the goons and mafias in the state,'' Mr Prasad told reporters here.
Inveighing the state government, the Congress leader alleged ''the CM has nothing to do with the pain and sufferings of the common man. She is a political humbug...now, even Dalits have come to know about her real face.'' In the name of development, crores of rupees are being misutilised by constructing parks and Ganga Expressway Project.
During Mayawati regime, farmers are being harassed and industrialists benefitted the most, he charged.
