Shenaz Hotels looking at 35 per cent growth

Kolkata, Apr 02 (UNI) PDK Shenaz Hotels Pvt Ltd, with reputed brands like Ivory Kitchens, Hookah Bar and Sisha, is looking at an overall growth of 35 percent on the current turnover of Rs 20 crores.

The group that boasts of hotels in Singapore and Kolkata, is looking at expansion plans with their new Go India Express, a futuristic central cuisine system.

''Ivory has maintained incremental growth of over 20 per cent YOY since it began operations in 2002. Currently in the group's sixth year, the organisation has grown over 100 per cent since its inception. The Group's turnover across India and Singapore is projected to be in excess of Rs 26 crores in 2008-09,'' Executive Director PDK Shenaz Arvind Bhatnagar said.

Talking about sharing of growth, Bhatnagar said while Kolkata was expected to grow at around 60 per cent, Singapore projected a 40 per cent growth.

Revealing their expansion plans, he said in India they were looking at Ludhiana, Guwahati and Lucknow in addition to Bangalore and Hyderabad. In Europe they are looking at Berlin and Frankfurt and then London as the next stoppages.

''While the first assessment has been completed, we are awaiting the result of the second one by May. After that we will go for the final launch,'' he said.

Bhatnagar further informed that their plans for expansion in Nepal were deferred due to the political situation in the country.

While they are looking at two new outlets in Singapore, they are loking at a series of new openings in Kolkata, including the lounge bars in Salt Lake.
