RPF inpector arrested while accepting bribe

Sasaram, Apr 2 (UNI) An inspector of Railway Protection Force (RPF) A C Sinha was arrested, while he was accepting Rs eight thousand as bribe from the relative of two youths lodged in police lock-up at Sasaram Railway station here yesterday.

Police said a team of CBI personnel arrested Mr Sinha on a tip-off provided by the relatives of the two youths lodged in the police lock-up. Both the youths were residents of Nokha police station area in Rohtas district police added.

''Mr Sinha was demanding Rs eight thousand from the relative of detained youths to free them from police lock-up'', police said adding the CBI team from Patna arrested the inspector while he was receiving the amount.

The arrested inspector was being sent to Patna were he would be produced before the CBI special court after thorough investigation.

Two CBI pressonel sustained minor injury in the scuffle with Mr Sinha during his arrest.
