Rice bags worth Rs 2.50 lalh seized in TN
Kancheepuram, Apr 2 (UNI) Police seized 366 rice bags worth Rs 2.50 lakh meant for distribution under government welfare scheme from a lorry near Madhurantakam in this district of Tamil Nadu last night.
According to police, the seizure was effected by a police official when the rice bags were being loaded into the lorry from a cooperative ration shop at Vilanganur near Cheyyur.
The lorry driver was arrested and the vehicle impounded, police added.
