Renuka Choudhury to visits Puducherry tomorrow

Puducherry, Apr 3 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development (independent charge) Renuka Choudhury will visit Puducherry tomorrow.

According to official sources, Ms Choudhury, who will be arriving here at 1230 hrs, would have a review meeting with the Chief Minister, Welfare Minister and other officials on different women and child development programmes. She will also meet women SHGs and launch a website for the national women's commission, besides distributing benefits to several selected beneficiaries.

After the night hault, she will visit the Aurobindo Ashram at 0800 hrs the next day, and also visit the observatory home and special school at Ariyankuppam.

The minister will also lay the foundation stone for an Old age Home at Kirumambakkam and visit the shelter home for the childrens of sex workers at Shanmughapuram, before leaving for Chennai around 1430 hrs.
