Pondy Assembly to adopt resolution on K'taka attack

Puducherry, Apr 2: The Puducherry Legislative Assembly proposed to adopt a resolution condemning the attack on Tamils in Karnataka, Chief Minister N Rangasamy told the House during Question Hour today.

As soon as the question hour began, the three PMK members along with Rajaraman (DMK) rose on their feet and informed the House of the attack on Tamils in Karnataka.

They demanded that the House be adjourned to discuss the issue but Speaker R Radhakrishnan refused permission.

When the members insisted, Mr Rangasamy intervened and said everybody knew about the sentiments of members and the House proposed to adopt a resolution in this regard later, following which the members resumed their seats.
