MCD to maintain status quo on property tax this year
New Delhi, Apr 2 (UNI) Delhi Mayor Aarti Mehra, Leader of the MCD House Subhash Arya and Chairman of the Standing Committee Vijender Gupta today said the corporation would maintain a status quo on property tax during the financial year beginning April 1, 2008.
According to a release issued by the corporation here, Ms Mehra, Mr Gupta and Mr Arya told reporters during an official tour in West Bengal that there would be no hike in the property tax this year.
They have requested the property tax payers to pay tax upto June 30 for the year 2008-09 at the rates prevailing during 2007-08 to avail themselves 20 per cent rebate.
