Maytas Infra consortium to develop airports in Karnataka
New Delhi, Apr 2 (UNI) Construction company Maytas Infra Ltd today said it's consortium has secured a contract from Karnataka government to develop green field airports at Gulbarga and Shimoga.
''Infrastructure Development Department, Government of Karnataka has selected a consortium of NCC Infrastructure Holdings Ltd (NCCIHL), Maytas Infra and VIE India Project Development and Holding LLC (VIE) to develop and operate airports proposed at Gulbarga and Shimoga on a BOT (build, operate and transfer) basis,'' the company said in a statement.
These will be green field projects under PPP (Public Private Partnership), it added.
Two separate Special Purpose Companies (SPCs) will be set up for the purpose where NCCIHL and Maytas Infra will hold 37 per cent each, while VIE will own 26 per cent.
