Gas explosion in Pakistan claims 14 lives
Lahore, Apr 2 : At least fourteen people were killed on Wednesday in a gas explosion in a building in Faisalabad city of Pakistan.
According to city official Tariq Sardar, another 28 people were injured when gas cylinders stored in a two-storey building exploded. The building collapsed along with many adjoining shops.
Relief and rescue operations were on to search other victims that might be buried under the rubble, the Dawn reported.
Sardar said the cylinders belonged to an illegal business that was supplying ammonia gas to nearby hospitals.
