Bihar assembly adjourned sine die

Patna, Apr 2 (UNI) The budget session of the Bihar Assesmbly was adjourned sine die today.

The house witnessed 24 sittings during which 2489 questions were admitted while 297 questions were answered.

The house passed budget for the financial year 2008-09. Third supplementary budget and gender budget were also tabled in the lower house, which discussed issues of common concern including price rise.

Several important bills including Bihar Appropriation Bill-2008, Bihar Finance bill 2008, Bihar state University Amendment Act, Bihar state fair Authority Bill-2008, Bihar state Micro and small Enterprises Bill-2008 and Bihar Public Works Contract Dispute Adjudication Bill-2008 were passed during the budget session of the state assembly.
