Washington, April 2 : Ben Stiller is set to produce and possibly star in the DreamWorks film The Return of King Doug.

The film is an adaptation of a graphic novel about a man who must return to the fantasy world he abandoned 30 years earlier.

DreamWorks has partnered with "King Doug" publisher Oni Press on the titles "Courtney Crumrin and the Night Things" and "The Damned."

"King Doug" writers Greg Erb and Jason Oremland will write the screenplay.

The film will be shot under the Red Hour production banner with Stuart Cornfeld and Jeremy Kramer acting as co-producers, reports Variety.

Stiller stars in the upcoming comedy "Tropic Thunder," which he also directed and produced via Red Hour, and is preparing to shoot "Night at the Museum II: Escape From the Smithsonian."
