Srinagar, Apr 2 (UNI) Kashmir Lok Adalats are becoming popular with 42 more cases having been solved, which were pending for decades.
An official spokesman said 72 cases were taken up for hearing in the Lok Adalat organised by tehsil Legal Services Committee (LSC) in court complex at Shopian in south Kashmir.
From them, 42 cases were settled amicably among the parties, he added.
A large number of litigants and others, besides lawyers, were present in the court during the time proceedings were held, the spokesman said.
So far thousands of such cases have been settled among the parties since January this year, he noted.
