14 injured in clashes between two groups

Nashik, Apr 2 (UNI) As many as 14 people were injured, six of them sustaining serious injuries, following clashes between two families in Wahegaonsal village of Chandwad taluka in the district.

As per the complaint registered by one Punjaram Kacheshwar Shinde, Baburao Shinde and other 12 people injured him and his kins with iron rods for taking fruits of a common tamarind tree, yesterday. In this incident, seven people were injured, leaving four of them with serious injuries.

In a counter complaint filed by Baburao, Khanderao Bhika Shinde and 13 others physically assaulted him and his family members for the same reason. In this, seven people were injured of which, two sustained serious injuries.

The case has been registered with Chandwad police. Four persons have been arrested in connection to the incident.

The seriously injured, have been admitted to the Nashik District Civil Hospital.
