Vidya shankar assumes charge as SEC

Bangalore, Apr 1 (UNI) State Election Commission will undertake a special campaign to include those names which were omitted from the final voters list published on March 29 after completion of delimitation process, Mr Vidya Shankar, who charge as State Election Commissioner, here today.

Mr Vidya Shankar took over charge from Mr R Ramaseshan who opted voluntary retirement.

In an informal chat after assuming the charge, Mr Vidya Shankar announced that the state election machinery was all geared up for the elections to the Legislative Assembly whenever the Central Election Commission announces the date.
