Undertrial escapes from K'taka jail
Mysore, Apr 1 (UNI) An undertrial, facing trail for involement in a group clash, escaped from the Central Jail here last evening.
According to jail officials, Naga belonging to T Narasimpura, was lodged in Nanjangud sub jail for facing trail for his involvement in the group clash , was shifted here last week on health reasons.
As a routine a vehcile came to jail in the evening with food for the inmates, when the inamtes were counted, the undertrial was found missing, said Jail Superintendent Veerabhadraiah.
He said Naga was very weak, mentally not sound and had no strength to escape, he may be somewhere nearby and would be apprehended soon.
A case has been lodged with the police, he said.
