Mysore, Apr 1: A person facing trial for his involvement in a group clash, escaped from the Central jail here last evening. According to jail officials, Naga belonging to T Narasimhapura, was lodged in Nanjangud sub jail as he was facing trial for his involvement in the group clash, was shifted here last week due to health problems.
A vehcile came to the jail in the evening with food for the inmates. When the inamtes were counted, the undertrial was found missing, Jail Superintendent Veerabhadraiah said.
He said Naga was very weak, mentally not sound and had no strength to escape. He may be hiding somewhere nearby and would be apprehended soon.
A case had been lodged with the police, he added.
