TN CM announces solatium for rain-victim
Chennai, Apr 1 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today announced an exgratia of Rs 1.5 lakh to the family of an Adi-Dravida girl, Rani, who was charred to death in a thunder strike recently at Panrutti.
An official release here said the government would release Rs one lakh from the Natural Calamity Fund and Rs 50,000 from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to the family on the basis of a detailed report from Cuddalore District Collector.
The solatium was announced following request by PMK MLA Velmurugan in the Assembly yesterday.
