Summer camp for mentally retarded

Shimoga, Apr 1(UNI) A three-day state level summer camp for mentally retarded children has been organised by Ashakirana Mentally retarded school here from March four.

Addressing newspersons here today Dr Ashok Pai, Principal of Ashakirana, said this type of camp for mentally retarded was the first of its kind in the state and about 250 children would be participating in it.

In the camp the children would be given training in various aspects of life like handicraft, Magic show, and drama art and in other fields, he added.
