School dropout making obscene calls to CPCR arrested

New Delhi, Apr 1 (UNI) In yet another case of obscene calls being made to female operators at the Central Police Control Room, police have arrested a 25-year-old school drop out from Central Delhi for making 1,981 such calls in two months.

Sunny Kumar Grover, residing in Yog Maya Basti in Paharganj, was arrested a few days ago and charges filed under section 509 of the IPC against him.

Police said Sunny used to call from his mobile phone and one night he made 65 calls on the public assistance No 100.

''He used to tell the ladies 'I love you, please marry me' and when he used to get no response from them he used to get abusive,'' police added.

Police said miscreants who block public assistance numbers and cause nuisance will be located and arrested.

Recently an engineering student was arrested for making such calls.
