S African national arrested with 1.9 kg heroin at IGI airport
New Delhi, Apr 1 (UNI) A South African National was today arrested at the IGI airport while trying to smuggle 1.9 kg of heroin.
The 47-year-old Golile Grace Mkhatshawa was intercepted by the air customs officers after she crossed the custom counter in the departure hall of the IGI airport. She was found in possession of 1.9 kg brown power, purported to be heroin, Additional Commissioner of customs at the IGI airport, Sanjay Kumar, said.
The passenger had concealed the heroin inside the specially concealed layer of her handbag, Mr Kumar said.
The S African was leaving for Capetown in South Africa via Doha by a Qatar airlines flight when the air intelligence unit intercepted her.
