PMK threatens to launch stir against NLC management
Chennai, Apr 1 (UNI) The Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) today threatened to launch an agitation if the management of the public sector Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) did not regularise the 13,000 contract labourers as per the Madras High court order.
In a statement here, PMK founder S Ramadoss said if the NLC management did not come forward to concede the demands of the agitating contract workers, the PMK and its trade Union wing would jointly stage a demonstration against the management.
The Madras High court had already directed the management to regularise the 13,000 contract labourers on the basis of seniority and priority, he recalled and wanted the NLC management to implement it immediately.
