No income limit for Muslim students for availing incentives:Nitish

Patna, Apr 1 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today clarified that there was no limit to income for the parents of the Muslim students to be eligible for availing the scholorship on the basis of their results in Matriculation examination.

While replying to the issue raised through call attention motion by leader of the opposition in state legislative council Prof Gulam Gaus, Mr Kumar said the state government had fixed no limitation of income for the parents of the Muslim students to be eligible for receiving the financial incentives in form of scholorship on the basis of their Matricualation results.

''Any Muslim student passing the Matriculation examination with first division from Bihar School Examination Board would be given Rs 10,000 as incentive by the state government under Mukhya Mantri Vidyarthi Protsahan scheme,'' he stated.
