Miraculuous escape for five Indian fishermen

Rameswaram, Apr 1 (UNI) Five Indian fishermen, who ventured into the sea for fishing, had a miraculous escape from death when their mechanized fishing boat sank at mid sea off Katchatheevu island today.

The fishermen, all hailing from Rameswaram, were fishing near Katchatheevu islands this morning. When the hull of the boat suffered extensive damages after hitting a rock, it subsequently sank, official sources said here.

However, the fishermen were rescued by another Indian fishing trawler and brought to the shores safely this evening, the sources added.
