Midhani records all-time high sales turnover
Hyderabad, Apr 1 (UNI) City-based Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) has recorded an all-time high sales turnover of Rs 256 crore and a Profit Before Tax of Rs 2 crore for the financial year 2007-08.
The order book of this Defence Public Sector Undertaking stood at Rs 700 crore, including orders worth Rs 232 crore booked during the year.
In a statement here today, MIDHANI Chairman and Managing Director M Narayana Rao said the company had, for the first time, crossed the Rs 200 crore mark in its sales turnover after its turnaround in 2003-04.
He said the overall performance during the year would enable the company to achieve "EXCELLENT" MoU Rating for the fifth year in succession and pay dividend to the Centre for the fifth year in a row.
The hi-tech metallurgical facility of the company, set up primarily for achieving self-reliance in critical materials, had been supporting programmes of national importance in strategic sectors including space, defence, aeronautics and atomic energy.
