Maid commits suicide in Vasant Kunj

New Delhi, Apr 1 (UNI) A 17-year-old girl, working as a maid in a businessman's house in South Delhi's Vasant Kunj area, committed suicide early this morning.

Lata Das, a native of Kolkata, was found hanging from the ceiling fan of the house this morning, police said. Her employer was on a business trip to Kolkata when the incident occurred.

Police said Lata had not left any suicide note and further investigations are in progress.

She had been working at the businessman's house for the past two years and a few days ago had sent some money to her father, police added.
