ICF crosses production target

Chennai, Apr 1 (UNI) The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) has crossed the production target of 1,290 coaches this year, as against 1,251 coaches produced last year.

A Railway release here today said the year's production included prestigious projects such as coaches for the luxury tourist train 'Golden Chariot' for the Karnataka Tourism Development Corporation, Diesel Multiple Units exported to Angola, coaches for Hospital on Wheels - Life Line Express, AC/DC EMUs for Mumbai Rail Vikas Corporation and second class coaches with disabled-friendly features.

Though the installed production capacity of ICF was only 1,000 coaches, it was able to achieve higher target for the third successive year due to the employees' dedicated efforts, it added.
