ICAI opens 19th chapter in Muscat

New Delhi, Apr 1 (UNI) The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has opened a chapter in Muscat, a sign of growing recognition that the institute has garnered.

The Muscat chapter of ICAI is its 19th chapter abroad.

Institute President Ved Jain told newspersons that the decision to open a chapter was taken following the growing popularity and interest in chartered accountants from India.

Earlier, the Oman government had entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ICAI to strengthen accounting standards in the Gulf country.
