HC directs police to ensure peace during SFI-DYFI march

Kochi, Apr 1 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today directed the Sub-Inspector of Police of Pathanamthitta and other police officers concerned to ensure that the law and order situation remained unaffected during the SFI-DYFI march to Mar Athanesious College in Thiruvalla on April 3.

A division bench comprising Mr Justice K Balakrishnan Nair and Mr Justice P N Raveendran also directed them to issue notices to the respondents, includung the SFI and the DYFI leaders, through a special messenger.

The organisations were proposing to hold the march, demanding that a case should be registered against the college principal in connection with alleged suicide of a student.
