Global economic slow down not to affect job creation: Report

Bangalore, Apr 1 (UNI) The economic slow down witnessed across the globe will not affect job creation in India, according to a report prepared by TeamLease Services, a staffing solution company.

The report 'TeamLease Annual Temp Salary Primer 2008' is a comprehensive study on salary trends and data for temporary staff, working across over 200 profiles and ten industry domains in 12 major locations in India.

TeamLease Temporary Staffing Vice-President A R Rajesh said ''there are worries that global problems will slow down India's job creation, but we disagree and are optimistic about 2008,'' he said.

According to the report, the variance between temporary and permanent salaries had considerably narrowed this year.

The report covers ten key industry verticals, that have active temporary staffing practices namely Agriculture, BFSI, Communications, FMCG, IT, ITeS, Manufacturing, Consumer Durables, Retail and Hospitality.

The functional domains covered were Accounts, Administration, Engineering, Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (IT) and Sales.
