Five die in road accident in Orissa

Bhubaneswar, Apr 1: Five people were killed and six injured when their vehicle collided head on with a lorry on NH 5 near Govindpur village under Tangi Police station of Cuttack district today.

Police said while four people died on the spot, another succumbed at the SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack. The deceased included the driver of the vehicle.

Of the six undergoing treatment in the hospital, the condition of three was stated to be serious.

As per preliminary report, the victims, artistes of the Kalinga Gana Natya, were going Chandikhol when the accident occurred.
