FDA arrested for taking bribe

Bangalore, Apr 1: Lok Ayukta police arrested a First Division Assistant (FDA) of the taluk panchayat office at Hosadurga in Chitradurga district for accepting a bribe of Rs 6,000 for showing official favour.

A Lok Ayukta police release here said Nagendrappa was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe from the complainant Hombalamma. The accused had demanded Rs 6,000 for moving papers to a bank for sanctioning a loan for Rs 1.25 lakh to the Seethambika Stree Shakti Sangha of Hosadurga taluk for taking up dairy development.
