Emaar MGF ties up with Marriott International

Hyderabad, Apr 1 (UNI) Emaar MGF, one of India's leading real estate developers, today announced its partnership with Marriott International Inc., a leading international hospitality company, to design, construct and equip luxury-branded JW Marriott Hotels in New Delhi, Hyderabad and Kolkata, and a 'Courtyard by Marriott' hotel in Amritsar, entailing total investments of over USD 400 million.

The hotel projects were likely to be completed by 2010-end, a press release here said.

As part of the agreement, Emaar MGF will be the owner and developer of the proposed hotels and Marriott International will provide advisory and management services for planning, design, construction and operations.

Emaar MGF Executive Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Shravan Gupta said, ''As services, travel, and tourism sectors continue to show impressive growth in India, resultant demand for more hotel rooms was on an upswing. However, there still seems to be a huge gap between demand and supply and our partnership with Marriott is an endeavour towards effectively bridging this gap.'' Mr Gupta said "We are excited to partner with Marriott International, for setting up one of their marquee brands, JW Marriot hotels in New Delhi, Hyderabad and Kolkata and a 'Courtyard by Marriott' hotel in Amritsar. Mr Ed uller said the company look forward to working with Emaar MGF to help bring the three JW Marriott-branded hotels and one Courtyard by Marriott hotel to fruition.
