Bodies of 8 CPI(Maoist) recovered with huge cache of arms

Garwah, Apr 1 (UNI) Security forces today recovered eight bodies of CPI(Maoist) killed in an encounter held late last night at Makhatu forest located in Ranka police station area in this district today.

Earlier, the police had claimed to kill about 14 ultras in the encounter.

Four bodies, including of a woman ultra, had been identified as Chotki, Basant Yadav, Lalan Singh and Rajesh.

Police said that security forces including Central Reserve Police Forces, Special Task Force and district police had exchange of fire with the ultras who were on way to Bandu market area attached with the border of nearby Chhattisgarh.

Police also recovered a huge cache of arms including a carbine, an SLR, eight rifles, one country made pistol, about 290 live cartridges and 1.5 quintals of ziletin from the spot.
