BJP supports TDP's no-confidence motion
Hyderabad, Apr 1 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), an estranged ally of the Main Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh, today declared its support to the no-confidence motion against the Rajasekhara Reddy Government.
Participating in the debate on the motion moved by Leader of Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu, BJP Floor Leader G Kishan Reddy said his party was extending support to the motion in protest against the ''anti-people'' policies of the Congress Government.
Earlier in the day, Mr Naidu complained to the Speaker for alloting limited time to the BJP, a national party, compared to a rebel TRS member.
The TDP, which had provided crucial outside support to the previous Vajpayeee Government, parted company with the BJP after the severe drubbing in the last Lok Sabha and Assembly Elections.
The Congress Government had failed on all fronts and steeped in corruption, the BJP leader charged.
He also found fault with the State Government for turning itself into a ''realtor'' for allegedly alloting prime lands to industries and facilitating formation of Special Economic Zones, displacing farmers on a large scale.
Viewing the minorities as only ''vote banks'', the ruling Congress had not done anything for their betterment, he alleged.
