Army rescue trapped worker
Guwahati, Apr 01 (UNI) The army today rescued a well-digger who got trapped while digging a well near Tezpur.
According to defence sources, the Army checkpost near Baksun village, manned by personnel of 4 Corps Engineering Signal Regiment, in Tezpur district was informed that a 52-year-old man was trapped in quick sand till his neck while digging a fresh well.
The rescue team of 4 Corps Engineering Signal Regiment, with assistance from the earth moving equipment of the Army Engineers, responded before any civilian assistance could be moved.
After efforts of both teams stretching for approximately four hours, the man was rescued and sent to Army medical authorities who declared him out of danger.
