Andaman declares Islanders Identity Card Mandatory
Port Blair, Apr 01 (UNI) The Andaman and Nicobar Administration has impressed upon the residents of these remote islands to get their Photo Identity Cards prepared positively before May 31 this year.
All the bonafide islanders have to take up photography for the Islanders Identity Cards upto May 31, 2008 from their respective tehsils failing which, it will be presumed that such families have left the islands, an official release issued by Andaman and Nicobar Administration said here.
Andaman Administration had also warned that in case of failure to get Photo Identity Card, names of persons would be struck off from the enrolled Islanders list and their claim for issue of Islanders Identity Cards in future would not be considered.
